County Fair Critters

Welcome to a wild and wonderful world of critters at the Scott County Fair yesterday. It was my first time going to their county fair, and it didn't disappoint although it's a wee bit different than the Dakota County Fair where I live. Showing up to see how folks share bits and pieces of their community are well worth seeing it all!

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and I'm posting to City Daily Photo

If she wants to go to the fair instead of

a fancy restaurant put a ring on it!

SCOTT COUNTY FAIR 2023

"It isn't about what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing, that makes you happy or unhappy.

It is what you think about it."

Dale Carnegie

Never trust a person who doesn't like cows!

How now, Brown cow!

If you do what you can with what you have you will always be successful.

Best part of every fair around our parts is a K-9 Demonstration from the Sheriff's Department and this one is the best I've ever seen by one special K-9 Deputy Floyd who was born 8 years ago in the Netherlands, and he knows English and Flemish!

In training for catching that "Bad guy" they're taught

to always go for the right arm.

One proud K-9 Deputy Floyd

(His favorite treats, balls, and a pup cup of ice cream)

If you're wondering he does go home with his handler, and has his own kennel in the backyard, heated but only fan cooled. However, it's his place, he loves it, and waits for his command to go out in his romping area! The family has little dogs that live inside the house and Floyd is good with that!

Life is good when we share it.

There's something that feels all American about county fairs.

Happiness doesn't depend on outward conditions. It depends on inner conditions."

Dale Carnegie

(and critters in your life of course, even though chance one time meetings)

Meet Waylon Jennings. Yep, sweet and friendly Waylon.

Winner! Winner!

Absolutely there were pig races, and they were racing for milk!

These darlings were born hours before I took this photo.

"People rarely succeed unless they are having fun in what they are doing."

Dale Carnegie

"The county fair is a place for warm and cuddly with wet noses and a colorful spectacle that delights young and old alike."

Sometimes it pays to shoot the view in front of where you parked.

Especially when you're parked within a sea of vehicles!

Thanks for coming to the county fair with me!

I really appreciate your comments, thank you so much.

Enjoy whatever you're doing.

Take good care of you.

Hello,

The county fair looks fun. I like seeing all the animal exhibits, the little piggies are so cute. The K-9 Deputy Floyd looks like he enjoys his job. How now, brown cow, they are cute too. Waylon looks big, another cute doggie. Great critter post and photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great week!

We always went to the fall fair in the small town where my dad grew up and it was a great time each year. Love your shots of the k-9 at work, Karen.

I haven’t been to a county fair in a couple of years. As for parking, my phone remembers where I parked. Or maybe it’s the Waze app on my phone.
