Off Roading

Good morning, everyone happy May and welcome to

SATURDAY'S CRITTERS

and my post for City Daily Photo

Northfield, Minnesota

Notice the building within this building?

My post is about after you do the things, daily chores, go to work, fix things, manage other things, why not lighten your tomorrow by "off roading" or "unexpected exploring" with your pleasures in mind.

Weekend off yesterday began by joining a Pond & Park Cleanup that involved more than beautifying the area but meeting humans walking their dogs or out for a brisk early morning walk. Isn't it amazing how many trails are built into neighborhoods. Wish they'd done that when I grew up. Or maybe not that's how we learned to blaze trails and paths where others have not yet gone.

We do our daily responsibilities, get things done, go to work, pay bills and push out the day until it begins all over again tomorrow. Now with responsibilities complete the hunger for your dreams comes to life.

My off roading yesterday began at

Welcome to Whitetail Woods Regional Park

Planning future things gives you something to look forward to. But. Unexpected exploring lightens your daily load.

Follow your path. Be adventurous, there's always something waiting just around the corner.

From there who would ever pass up a Tulip Festival?

Special treat as this is part of the Brand Farms you ride a hayride to the tulips and when you come back for the apple orchard blossoms it's another hayride.

"I set out to find my peace in the skies and the tulips, in the howling of the winds, in the rain under the shed and it was right there residing within me."
Suyasha Subedi

so, spruce up your life!

Below random photos from other off roading adventures.

Ignite your wanderlust and embrace the unknown.

One of my Instagram projects about wandering. Imagine that.

Never stop exploring.

Thank you so much for stopping by and gifting me with your thoughts and comments.

Take good care of you and hey get out there and explore some.

Hello, Karen
I like your cute mascot, he went everywhere with you.
Wonderful photos and inspiring quotes. I hope you have many fun adventures and journeys. It is nice of you and the other volunteers work on the park cleanup. Great building reflections. The cabins are cute. The tulip farm is beautiful. Love the butterfly sculpture and the bunny figurine. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy May to you too Karen. Its a pretty important Month to a lot of people.
Very good of you to go out and clean up around public lands. I do believe most people are careful not to litter, but it does matter where you are talking about.
I have heard of that park but have never been there. I just bought a sticker for Washington County parks which also includes some Anoka county parks. Much hiking and boating to do......along with the state parks.
I have used state park cabins, one at 5 below zero, but had no idea regional park have them.
Thanks for sharing...and please continue with what you do. Its very uplifting.

Thank you it was a great day to be out last Saturday and they say this weekend should be out of the 28 degrees in the morning! Enjoy your weekend.

Isn't that pink door cool! It's the first year that the Brand Farms has tulips growing, and they had all kinds of cute things for photos! It's right near their apple trees which should be in bloom right now! Have a great weekend.

Thank you for stopping in and commenting. My little mascot (of which I have many is so fun to take around especially when there are little kiddos around, they think it's so fun to see me taking pictures of them!) A great conversation starter! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to you!

Thanks for stopping and commenting! I love feedback, as it lets me know what stands out to folks! Funny thing about Whitetail Woods Regional Park, which by the way I'm sure you'd love it seems like yesterday when it first opened It's got so much to see and do, a 456-acre Dakota County park, and my first visit was in 2014 when I brought some of my grandchildren to the grand-opening celebration! Fun things everywhere, we just need to find the time to take it all in! Enjoy your weekend and take care.

Good job gathering up trash! We have a road clean up last weekend. It is tulip time in Holland, Michigan, too.
